The Showcoir Vocalists LE PLEIADI opens the Choral week of Alpe Adria Cantat
For the Showchoir Vocalists “Le Pleiadi” it was a big honour to be invited by FENIARCO to perform the opening concert of ALPE ADRIA CANTAT 2007.
The international Choral week is attended by singers of all over Europe. The fact, that FENIARCO chose us to welcome the participants of all these countries – and tehrefor represent Italy – means to us that the Federazione Cori Bolzano, although very small, has nonetheless much to offer – to an international audience as well as to a national one.
For this honour we were glad to renounce to part of our usual summer holidays and to gather around our maestra in order to rehearse for this important event meant to take place in Lignano (UD) in september 2nd. Audience and critique were great and warm. In spite of the very far journey most had beared the audience was concentrated and attent. The mostly young people enjoyed the fresh performance enriched with gags and choreographies as well as the rhytmic difficulties and improvisations. The vice president of EUROPA CANTAT, maestro Fred Sjoberg, who teached during the choral weeks appreciated the choreographies as well and also spent some time in teaching choreographies in his Atelier. Tre out of the six Ateliers (News and Classics, Spiritual & Gospel, Vocal Pop Jazz) of ALPE ADRIA CANTAT 2007 had a similar repertoire to the one of the Pleiadi. With this performance the Pleiadi made a step towards Europe and international level. We now hope that the stars from Alto Adige/Sout Tyrol will enlighten Europe soon!
